July 1, 2017. The day my best friend said "I do".

...as she walked out from behind the door, escorted by her father, tears started streaming down my face. I was completely overwhelmed with love and joy for both Monica and Ron. I didn't know it would hit me so hard...but it did. That's how amazing she is. It brought me such peace to witness this huge step she was taking and I know first hand, the journey it has taken to get to this moment.

Love isn't practical. It isn't always easy. It doesn't appear on command. It doesn't let you fall for whomever you'd like. It surfaces neither at the most opportune moment nor in the most convenient. It will put you face to face with endless obstacles. But in the end, none of that will matter because it's how you overcome its obstacles that will define your love.

I couldn't help but get a bit teary when I was culling through all of the pictures and came across this one. These two handsome young men were blessed that she said YES when their Daddy asked her to marry him. She will love and love and love and that is all she knows.

You can see it in their faces...they know it and they love her too. You can feel it when you are in their presence. I know she will spend the rest of her life loving them, protecting them, and doing whatever she needs to do to keep them happy.

It was a wonderful day and celebration that I was thankful and proud to be a part of.
